We have now had two months of opening and welcomed nearly 550 visitors from many parts. The shop is proving popular too and there are some new items to tempt you as well as the old favourites.
Some of our special visitors to the garden in early July included Catherine and Marek who had their wedding photographs taken in the Little Hall’s beautiful garden. The bride looked lovely, the weather was kind and great fun was had by all.
We welcomed a small group from America and 2 more groups in late July. Lavenham Gardening Club had a very belated garden party at the end of July. A group is already booked in for September and another for next year.
We are able to welcome groups of 10 or more to Little Hall and its gardens at any time at a concessionary rate of £4 for adults and £1 per child for school groups. We can offer a guided tour or you may wander freely through the house.
We are also able to offer illustrated talks about the house and its history at meetings of your group. If you are interested or know of anyone who may be, please see how to contact us on our Contact Page.
We now open 4 afternoons a week, from Thursday to Sunday from 1.00pm to 4.00pm. We are not quite back to ‘normal’ but getting closer towards it. There will still be some necessary ‘covid restrictions’ to keep our volunteers and visitors safe.
We have welcomed several new volunteers this season who are now ready to ‘go it alone’ but as ever we are still on the lookout for more. We need volunteers to guide, meet and greet our visitors and many other roles. Little Hall has some wonderful stories to tell and volunteering is incredibly rewarding. Even if you only have a few hours to spare any help would be most welcome. If you are interested in volunteering, please see the details on our volunteering page.
